Your Opportunity: ComplyRight is on the lookout for a skilled Database Administrator (DBA) with expertise in Azure SQL databases to join our forward-thinking and innovative IT team. As a crucial member of our remote workforce, you will play a pivotal role in managing, securing, and optimizing our database infrastructure, directly contributing to the success of our Tax and HR platforms. This role is designed for a problem-solver passionate about enhancing database performance and security to support our mission of delivering top-notch B2B solutions.

In this position, you will have the opportunity to work closely with development teams to ensure the smooth operation of our database systems, providing essential support for production environments and influencing the future architectural direction of our database strategies. Your work will involve troubleshooting and resolving data-related customer issues, thereby directly impacting our customer satisfaction and product reliability. Through your expertise, you will help ComplyRight maintain its leadership in providing compliant, cutting-edge solutions to our clients.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Administer, maintain, and secure Azure SQL databases, ensuring the integrity and availability of the company database.
  • Collaborate with development teams, to optimize database performance and contribute to the architecture of future database states.
  • Perform data migrations for complex data sets to support new application development and business intelligence reporting.
  • Perform production support for data-related customer issues, managing tickets through Zendesk and Jira.
  • Implement and maintain database security policies and procedures to enhance the company's security posture.
  • Monitor database systems to ensure secure services with minimum downtime.
  • Participate in database architecture and planning discussions to meet business needs and growth.
  • Assist in developing strategies for database backup, recovery, and replication.
  • Provide guidance and support to development teams on best practices for database usage, optimization, and deployment strategies.
  • Stay updated with the latest technologies and trends in database administration and security to recommend improvements for the database environment.
You Must Have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 2+ years of proven experience as a Database Administrator, with a strong focus on Azure databases.
  • Deep understanding of database structure principles, SQL, and Azure cloud services.
  • Experience with database security, backup, recovery, and replication strategies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Experience with production support and managing tickets through Zendesk and Jira.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
We Would Also Prefer:
  • Certifications in Azure or database administration.
  • Experience working in a B2B environment.
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
