Fairfax Hospital Medical Campus has a great Behavioral Health Safety Coach- Part-time Nights - opportunity.

The Behavioral Health Safety Coach facilitates the debrief of a safety event or safety concern. Participates in safety meetings and serve on the workplace violence committee. Educates, trains, and mentors Clinical Technicians and Mental Health Technicians on aspects of safety incident reporting. Disseminates and delivers safety messaging as appropriate to the organization. Provides direct care to patients under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse.

This role is a part-time 12-hour nights position. Every other weekend.

Job Responsibilities



  • Facilitates the safety event debrief and participates in safety meetings and workplace violence committee meetings.
  • Disseminates actionable safety data for various internal audiences that quickly and effectively direct further improvement efforts and patient care. Responds to special requests as appropriate.
  • Communicates effectively and works cooperatively with others. Has respect for and an understanding of other clinical disciplines.
  • Assumes responsibility for self-development in lifelong learning and seeks opportunities to further increase practice knowledge.
  • May perform additional duties as assigned.


Experience:



  • Two (2) years of relevant clinical work experience


Education:



  • High School or GED


Certifications:



  • Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association upon start.
  • Crisis Prevention Institute/CPI - within 3 months of start.
