Job Summary Assess, plan, organize, and participate in rehabilitative programs that improve functional mobility, relieve pain, and improve or correct disabling conditions resulting from disease or injury. Provides age appropriate education for clients and caregivers. Supervise and assume responsibility for care provided by identified team members.Master's or Doctorate Level Degree preferred. 1 year experience required for Resource Pool applicants. For Hampton Roads Outpatient facilities only - Must obtain Direct Access certification within one year of hire for those with a BS or MS degree Qualifications: BLD - Bachelor's Level Degree: Physical Therapy (Required) Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) RQI, Direct Access Certification (Physical Therapy) - Certification - Other/National, Physical Therapist License (PT) - State license - North Carolina Board of Physical Therapy Examiners (NCPT), Physical Therapist License (PT) - State license - Physical Therapy Compact Commission (PTCOMPACT), Physical Therapist License (PT) - State license - Virginia Department of Health Professionals (VADHP)Skills Active Listening, Communication, Critical Thinking, Leadership, Learning Strategies, Mgmt of Staff Resources, Monitoring, Service Orientation, Social Perceptiveness, Speaking, Technology/Computer, Time Management, WritingSentara Healthcare prides itself on the diversity and inclusiveness of its close to an almost 30,000-member workforce.
