Senior Director, Product Management - Business Applications (SAP-Supply Chain/Finance)

SUMMARY/JOB PURPOSE:

The Senior Director of Product Management for Business Applications IT organization plays a pivotal role in shaping the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of the SAP platform at Exelixis, with a specific focus on Finance, Sourcing, Procurement and Pharma Supply Chain capabilities. Leading a specialized product and development team, this role aims to innovate and deliver solutions that redefine user experience and operational efficiency across the organization.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader and have experience in a large subset of Cost Accounting, Finance Analytics, Payables, Treasury Management, Asset Management, GL, Reconciliation & Reporting, Procurement, Revenue Management, Governance, Risk, Compliance and Security, Tax Management, Procure to Pay lifecycle, Inventory Management, Order to Cash processes, Demand Planning, Product Serialization, and Quality Inspection. Ideal candidate should also have expertise in managing SAP platform and integration of SAP platform with other enterprise systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The role is expected to perform in agile ways of working with a focus on user-centricity and value/outcomes delivered for business and end users. Key duties and responsibilities of role as below.

  • Collaboration: Partner, and collaborate with Finance, Sourcing, Procurement and Pharma Supply Chain business leaders to understand continuously evolving business needs and build strong relationships.
  • Strategy and Roadmap creation Establish and continuously evolve product vision, strategy, and roadmap based on customer and enterprise needs.
  • Product Delivery: Map business needs to technology products and ensures delivery of product roadmap in-line with business priorities and product vision with outcomes and value centricity.
  • Product Design Leadership: Lead and run design workshops to holistically map data flows, integrations, and changes for user personas.
  • Ensure Compliance: Ensures Information Security, compliance (Sox, GxP, privacy, etc), supportability, and reliability for the products with adherence to enterprise guidelines.
  • Perform Technical Reviews: Ensure right-fit cross-functional end-to-end design and architecture.
  • Budget Management: Manage budget allocation and financial planning across products and the Veeva platform
  • Market Analysis: Analyze trends and best practices to identify opportunities for new features and improvements across the SAP ecosystem

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervises staff, including hiring, scheduling and assigning work, reviewing performance, and recommends salary increases, promotions, transfers, demotions, or terminations.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in related discipline and fifteen years of related experience; or
  • Master's degree in related discipline and thirteen years of related experience; or
  • PhD degree in related discipline and twelve years of related experience; or
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience

  • *Experience in SAP technology product implementation and delivery
  • Experience in SAP Record to Report Process
  • Experience in managing team spread across multi-geographical locations
  • Working experience of SAP Ariba Guided buying and Supplier Management is desired
  • Experience working on various SAP Finance modules like Financial Accounting, Controlling, Treasury, Asset Accounting, and related areas.
  • Experience working on various SAP Supply Chain modules like Logistics, Inventory Management, Quality Management, Production Planning, Materials Management, Sales and Distribution
  • Hands-on expertise in SAP S/4HANA, SAP ERP, SAP CPI, SAP Fiori
  • Experience in GxP and SOX Compliance is desired.

Knowledge/Skills:

  • Functional and Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of SAP understanding from a business and technology architecture perspective. Demonstrated ability in the delivery of large-scale, complex programs involving system and process reengineering and integration.
  • Process Expertise: Working knowledge of Agile Methodologies and Product-based delivery
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to formulate and implement long-term strategies for platform growth and sustainability.
  • Leadership Qualities: Proven ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams to achieve collective goals.
  • Communication: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, capable of translating complex concepts to a diverse audience

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across severalU.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The base pay range for this positionis $206,500 - $290,500 annually. The base pay range may take into account the candidate's geographic region, which will adjust the pay depending on the specific work location. The base pay offered will take into account the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, experience and internal equity, among other factors. In addition to the base salary, as part of our Total Rewards program, Exelixis offers comprehensive employee benefits package, including a 401k plan with generous company contributions, group medical, dental and vision coverage, life and disability insurance, and flexible spending accounts. Employees are also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus program, or if field sales staff, a sales-based incentive plan. Exelixis also offers employees the opportunity to purchase company stock, and receive long-term incentives, 15 accrued vacation days in their first year, 17 paid holidays including a company-wide winter shutdown in December, and up to 10 sick days throughout the calendar year.
