Job Description

EBAD seeks an experienced Aerospace and Defense Program Manager. This position reports to the Market Segment Director.

Responsibilities:

The Program Manager acts as the primary point of contact for the customer, accountable to ensure contractual obligations are met. She/he defines, plans, and manages the project that will deliver new designs and/or deliverable product.

The principal duties and responsibilities of the Program Manager include the following:

• Partners with business development function to evaluate and shape new opportunities. Contributes to overall business strategy by listening deeply to customers to deliver innovative solutions.
• For individual opportunities, leader of the proposal team that will ensure all aspects of the customer's requirements are addressed and proposal strategy is executed. Lead the development of program schedule, budget, risk assessment, and proposal write ups. Review customer Statement of Work (SOW) and develop compliance assessments.
• Lead negotiation activities with the customer and ensure positive business outcomes.
• Responsible for review of new contracts including alignment to EBAD proposed terms.
• Kick off and provide program direction during all phases of the program to accomplish cost, technical, and schedule objectives. Participate in regular program reviews, both internal and external, to report and track performance to the plan.
• Proactively works with the team and customer to address risks and mitigate the impact of unplanned events (failures, realized risks, material issues, etc.) on the organization and the customer.
• Monitor and control project scope and prepare change proposals as needed. Maintain accurate Estimate at Complete (EAC) for assigned programs.
• Overall "Voice of the Customer" within EBAD. Responsible for customer satisfaction and collaborating with the customer to overcome challenges and support the program.
• Owner of the project level Profit and Loss. Responsible to deliver on Sales and Margin plans to support overall business objectives.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in Engineering, Project, or Program Management in the Aerospace & Defense industry.
• Demonstrated leadership skills in a project team environment.
• Significant customer facing experience.
• Strong financial acumen.
• Education preferences include BS Degree in an engineering discipline, MBA, and Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Negotiation experience preferred.
