Overview

The Director of Operations is responsible for the daily operational and organizational management of the Central Region in the US market. This role will directly manage multiple offices P&L to accomplish profitability and growth objectives in an efficient and high quality manner. In addition, this role will recruit, develop and motivate staff to provide a world class customer experience and meet or exceed client expectations. It is important that the individual in this role provides all stations with the necessary tools in place to succeed and expand their business levels in both domestic and international product line in a sustained fashion. It is expected that this role partners with corporate operations and the product team to implement and execute corporate strategy within the region and building upon the "One Team, One Vision" approach regionally.



Responsibilities

    Provide daily P&L management of region, and ensure necessary tools, processes and metrics are in place to ensure growth, service and profitability goals accomplished
  • Recruit, hire, train, and develop the team to ensure company expectations are met and manage underperformance as necessary.
  • Conduct weekly 1:1's in order to effectively coach, develop and motivate the team through performance
    KPI's, metrics and goals
  • Be active in sales pipeline management & sales calls to client to develop revenue. Support solution development in order to execute and deliver to the client's expectations in order to exceed growth objectives in both international and domestic products
  • Internal networking and partnership amongst the vertical and corporate functions
  • Align on sales strategy with the Reginal Sales Director in partnership to meet and exceed our budget expectations
  • Develop and execute the Central Region's operational & cultural strategy of AIT
  • Other duties and responsibilities will be assigned as the business demands deem necessary


Qualifications

Education Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent Required
  • Bachelor's Degree or work experience equivalent Preferred

Experience Qualifications

  • 3+ years Multi-station P&L experience Required
  • 10+ years Experience with diversified freight forwarding products including domestic, international and logistics Required
  • 15+ years Freight Forwarding experience Preferred
