The A&P Mechanic is responsible for performing routine maintenance and major inspections on corporate aircraft. Troubleshooting, repair, and modification of aircraft components is accomplished by this position. In addition, engine removal and reinstallation, operational checks, leak checks, and engine runs are all within the responsibility of the A&P Mechanic. Experience with Embraer, Falcon, Lear, Challenger, and Hawker required.

What You Will Do:

- Performs operational checks and engine runs to ensure air-worthiness prior to departure.

- Inspects aircraft in accordance with OEM Light or Heavy Maintenance Manuals

- Evaluates removed components for serviceability and documents discrepancies (squawks). Reinstalls and tests components after completed inspection.

- Troubleshoots and repairs all airframe systems as required (hydraulics, landing gear, etc.).

- Reads and interprets maintenance manual procedures, blueprints, technical manuals, and schematic diagrams when required.

- Analyzes a variety of mechanical problems and determines the cause and best method of repair.

- Tests operation and repairs/adjusts, as required: engines, engine controls and accessories, propellers and controls, landing gear, hydraulic systems and servicing, and flight controls, and adjusts rigging as required.

- Check and repair fuel, oil, oxygen, heating, cooling and pressurization systems.

- Utilize mechanics hand tools, precision measuring instruments, gauges and calibration test equipment.

- Remove and reinstall engines from turbofan and turboprop powered aircraft.

- Use sound judgment and technical aptitude to make decisions regarding maintenance, sequence, and techniques, troubleshooting and discrepancy resolution.

Basic Qualifications:

- High School Diploma or GED

- A valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License is required.

- Minimum 2 years corporate aviation experience on Learjet, Hawker, Falcon Jet, Challenger, and/or Embraer

- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

- Must be available to work second shift, with overtime and weekends as needed.

- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time (8+ hours), lift 50 pounds unassisted, walk, bend, stretch, and climb ladders to service aircraft.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Aviation training: military training, aeronautical academy or technical school training and/or an Aviation Associates Degree.

- Factory authorized training on assigned aircraft or engines.
