Your Opportunity

This full-time role is about making an impact on people's lives and the future of clean energy. You will leverage your skills and experience to be part of an innovative team and make a difference for our customers. As a Technical Project Engineer in Richland, WA, you will be part of the proven team in the Advanced Reactor Support Business Line in the Fuel Business Unit. You'll join a team of diverse engineers to develop and demonstrate innovative solutions and value-added technologies focusing on supplying fuel, fuel components, fuel fabrication processes and facilities, to support the operation of the next generation of nuclear power plants. These solutions will ultimately be deployed into a new, state of the art, advanced reactor fuel fabrication facility at the Richland site. Your work will include:



  • Develop and maintain good interpersonal relationships.
  • Work in fast-paced and demanding manufacturing environment.
  • A proactive approach to problem identification and resolution
  • Become familiar with a variety of new procedures, processes, and tooling, while maintaining priority on production, quality, and customer satisfaction
  • Knowledge and/or use in:


    • Read and understand design and P&ID drawings.
    • Create design and installation packages used for system installation.
    • Present work packages to a multiple discipline team including management for approval.
    • Work with Safety and other organizations during project execution.
    • Work with and oversee internal and external contract craft during construction.
    • Lead project "Plan of the Day" meeting as part of project oversite activities.
    • Lead commission activities.
    • Report project progress, schedule and spending.


  • Familiarity with nuclear fuel fabrication processes.

Framatome's Richland, WA facility is a licensed nuclear fuel manufacturing site and complies with US Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and US Department of Energy (DOE) regulations. This position is safety-sensitive and pre-employment drug/alcohol screening is required.

Your Total Rewards Package

The range of base salary for the position is between $121,000 - $164,000, and may also include annual incentives, performance bonuses and benefits. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
