Experienced Scientist - Large Language Modeling

Are you a seasoned Data Scientist with an advanced degree in Data Science or a related field? Are you passionate about the field of Natural Language Processing (NLP) and eager to lead the implementation of large language models (LLMs) for interactive AI applications? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to take the reins of a groundbreaking project at Medpace.

We are actively seeking an experienced individual to spearhead the implementation and fine-tuning of a privately hosted Large Language Model. In this role, you will leverage your deep expertise in data science and NLP to drive transformative changes in how our company operates, leveraging cutting-edge technology. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including business, IT, and technical experts, to craft a strategic roadmap for the integration of LLM technology into our company's processes.

Lead the fine-tuning and optimization of a privately hosted Large Language Model.
• Integrate artificial intelligence to support a chatbot feature to interact with the LLM.
• Partner with business, IT, and technical teams to identify strategic opportunities for AI-driven enhancements in company processes.
• Architect and execute the strategic roadmap for implementing the LLM, ensuring it aligns with our company's overarching goals.
• Take ownership of the project, independently driving its success.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to technical teams for sustained support of the LLM.
• Support departmental process improvement initiatives.

• Masters or PhD in engineering, computer or data science, or related field.
• 3-5 years experience implementing and fine-tuning Large Language Models for interactive AI applications.
• Profound expertise in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and deep learning.
• Technical proficiency in relevant programming languages and frameworks, such as Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch.
• Outstanding communication and collaboration skills to effectively engage with cross-functional teams.
• Proven ability to independently lead complex projects and mentor technical teams.
• A relentless commitment to staying abreast of the latest developments in NLP and AI technologies.
• Analytical thinker with great attention to detail.
