Job Title: Test & Trials Worker - A
Location: Pascagoula, MS

GENERAL FUNCTION:
The Test & Trials Worker - A is responsible for implementing testing procedures on all vessel equipment and systems, including sea trials, to ensure compliance with customer requirements and regulatory standards.

TYPICAL DUTIES:

The following duties represent the general nature of the work but are not exhaustive:

  • Conduct and complete all testing and sea trials of vessels before customer acceptance.
  • Respond to inquiries from customers and regulatory agents regarding vessel testing.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation of all testing activities for assigned projects.
  • Submit standard and special status reports as required.
  • Address deficiencies identified during testing and collaborate with Company engineers to resolve them.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Extensive knowledge of shipbuilding processes, industry standards, and regulations.
  • Proficiency with testing equipment and measuring devices, and ability to instruct inspectors on proper use.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications, and to develop comprehensive inspection programs.
  • Effective supervisory skills and the ability to interface effectively with customers, management, and employees across all areas within the division.
  • EXPERIENCE & TRAINING:

    Minimum of 1 year experience in quality assurance duties, or an equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
