JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: The Pennsylvania State University is seeking a Financial Officer to join the Budget and Finance team to support campuses in Eastern Pennsylvania (Penn State Berks, Penn State Schuylkill, and Penn State Lehigh Valley). The Financial Officer will provide financial and budget management, oversight, and strategic direction to the assigned campuses while maintaining prudent fiscal controls through adherence to University policies and procedures. The successful candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, sound judgment, strong leadership skills, a high level of motivation, and a proven track record of success as a member of a professional team. Experience with enterprise systems technologies and products such as SAP S/4HANA, Concur, Workday, Oracle BI, and MS Office 365 is desirable. This position minimally requires a Bachelor's degree plus 10 years of relevant experience, including 3 years of supervisory experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Degree in accounting, business management, or a related field preferred. Due to the financial or fiduciary responsibilities of this position, completion of a credit history check will be required in addition to the standard background checks. This position offers a flexible work arrangement that combines remote and on-campus work. Questions related to flexible work should be directed to the hiring manager during the interview process. Travel toallthe campuses intheportfolio will be necessary.
