JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Penn State Extension, Berks County, is seeking a Nutrition Education Adviser (NEA). This position would recruit and teach low income program participants in their assigned service area research based knowledge and skills, in groups and individually, to use their limited resources to obtain a diet and lifestyle for themselves and their families following the USDA Dietary Guidelines for Americans by using approved state curricula. Responsibilities include:
Education and Experience: This position will be hired as a Nutrition Education Adviser Support or Intermediate Support, depending upon the successful candidate's compentencies, education, and experience. Typical requirements for a Support position requires a High School Diploma or higher, or an equivalent combination of education and experience and an associate's degree or higher, or an equivalent combination of education and experience for an Internediate Support position. Additional education beyond typical requirements is not considered an advantage. We are seeking bilingual Spanish speaking candidates. This position requires the following clearances: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to the clearances. The pay range for this position, including all possible grades is: $28,700.00 - $45,800.00Salary Structure - additional information on Penn State's job and salary structure. The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
