JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Office of the President is seeking a part-time Administrative Support Assistant to work 20-24 hours a week in-person. The assistant will provide administrative support and act as a first-line liaison to internal and external contacts.

Candidates must be self-motivated, able to work in a team environment, be proficient in Microsoft Office 365, and be familiar with video conferencing technologies (Zoom, Teams). This position requires you to be in-person and does not have a hybrid or remote option.

Job Duties:

  • Serve as receptionist or first-line liaison to internal and external contacts and provide general office support, including answering phones.

  • Resolve routine customer service issues; routing complicated issues to the appropriate staff member as needed.

  • Perform general clerical duties including mail processing, typing, and photocopying.

  • Maintain inventory and order/purchase office supplies; arrange for equipment maintenance.

  • Assist with special projects throughout the academic year.

  • Assist the administrative staff, as needed.

  • Operate standard office machines and equipment.

  • Assist with travel arrangements, make reservations, and process reimbursements.

  • Assist with processing financial documents.

  • Provide support to the administrative staff, as needed.

  • Run errands both on and off-campus.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements and qualifications:

  • High school diploma is required.

  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality around all aspects of office information.

  • Must provide positive, professional and welcoming customer service to a wide range of people.

  • Ability to problem solve.

  • Excellent organization skills are all required.

  • Basic knowledge of commonly used technology and audio/visual equipment is preferred.

  • Business casual attire required.

  • Employment with the University will require successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies.

  • This job requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid US driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.

This part-time position is not eligible for PTO or tuition discount benefits.
