The Rutgers University Earth and Planetary Science Department seeks apostdoctoralscholar to join the research group of Dr. Lujendra Ojha. The successful candidate will work on problems related to surface-atmosphere interactions on Mars, Venus, and exoplanets. The appointee will carry out research in collaboration with Ojha research group and others, resulting in publications in the open literature. Some examples of potential research topics include but not limited to: (i) modeling winds in the planetary boundary layer and implications for aeolian processes; (ii) constraining the present rate of gas dispersion on Mars; (iii) constraining timescales for formation and dispersion of dunes on Venus; (iv) climate on ancient Venus by accounting for the Faint Young Sun. |

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience |
Candidates must have completed a doctoral (Ph.D) level program in Planetary Sciences or a related field. |
Certifications/Licenses |

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities |
Familiarity with remote sensing, atmospheric physics, and surface dynamics, strong writing skills, and the ability to use MATLAB or Python are essential. The candidates are expected to be proficient in spoken and written English. |

Computer data input and mathematical modeling is required. |
