The Department of Food Science in the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is currently seeking Lecturers, CoAdjutants, and course assistants to teach or assist with various undergraduate or graduate courses such as: Food and Health; Food as Medicine; Food Process Engineering; Current Issues in Food Science and Food Law; Carbohydrates in Foods; Nutragenomics & Nutraceuticals, and possibly others during the Spring 2024 semester.

The candidates will present course materials or assist during assigned course times, hold office hours, administer exams, assign grades and coordinate any other related requirements. Applicants should specify which course is of primary interest.

Qualifications


Minimum Education and Experience
Interested candidates should have a degree in food science preferably at the MS or PhD level. Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated evidence of past teaching effectiveness and/or experience with assisting.
Certifications/Licenses
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong knowledge of MS Office applications.
Must have authorization to work in the USA.
