Data Scientist

Position Overview: VTG is looking for a skilled and passionate Data Scientist to join our team. As a Data Scientist, you will be at the forefront of our data-driven initiatives, working closely with cross-functional teams to extract actionable insights from complex datasets. You will employe advanced statistical and machine learning techniques to develop model, algorithms, and analytical solutions that address our clients challenges.

• Determine appropriate approaches to analyze data sets (including statistical analysis).
• Develop and utilize Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning and other predictive data modeling techniques.
• Move toward predictive and prescriptive analytics.
• Develop user-friendly, easy to understand repo1ts ( e.g., graphs, charts, briefing slides, targeted explanatory or interpretive text) for clients to meet business needs.
• Create, enhance, and maintain data visualizations using Tableau and other tools. (This includes dashboards.) Use Tableau Prep.
• Develop interpretive statements based on analyses and available information.

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph required.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
• 3+ years of experience with using programming languages to manipulate and analyze data, including Python and SQL.
• 2+ years of experience with machine learning, data cleansing, and statistical analysis.
• Experience analyzing structured and unstructured data sources.
• Knowledge of Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or Natural Language Processing.
• Ability to create reports and present key insights based on analysis.
• Knowledge of Natural Language Processing (NLP) and experience implementing standard NLP methodologies such as TF-IDF or FastText.
• Experience programming in an AWS Cloud environment.
