Overview
VTG is seeking a highly capable and analytical Contracts Administrator to support the company's Fleet Modernization Solutions Strategic Business Unit. This division provides essential mission support in the areas of force modernization, C4ISR systems installation, and prototyping and fabrication across multiple U.S. Navy ship- and shore-based platforms. This position is responsible for contract administration of both US Government and non-US Government contracts, both nationally and internationally, as assigned. The Contracts Administrator will ensure compliance with company contracting policies and procedures. Works closely with program managers, general managers, capture managers, and proposal personnel throughout the company. This role is primarily based in either Virginia Beach, VA or Chantilly, VA in a hybrid capacity working some days onsite and remaining days each week remote.
What will you do?
- Provides direct contract support such as the review and approval of contractual documents to ensure protection of company's contractual/risk posture, satisfaction of contractual requirements and adherence to company policies.
- Performs contract administration from beginning to end (lifecycle) - for all assigned contracts within the contracts department. This includes, but is not limited to: reviewing, recommending and interpreting language, negotiating Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), Teaming Agreements (TA), Memorandum of Understandings/Agreements (MOUs/As), contracts, modifications, etc., and executing same within approval/signature authority. When not within approval/signature authority, same is provided to the VP of Contracts for review and approval.
- Ensures Purchasing receives required flowdowns from applicable contracts/subcontracts for service/product subcontracts/purchase orders.
- Assists with small business reporting, audits, and other reporting requirements the contracts department is responsible for.
- Assists in the due diligence process for all matters assigned within the contracts department, including, but not limited to: disputes regarding contract interpretation, conditions and/or compliance with legal requirements, mergers and acquisitions, etc.
- Performs work through application of knowledge and understanding of the complexities within both the US Government and non-government (Industry) sectors, which includes the FAR, DFARs, U.C.C., U.S.C, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), and all applicable laws and regulations applicable to same (service Contract Act, Davis Bacon Act, etc.). May be the primary ITAR internal point of contact.
- Assists with reviews of solicitation and proposal submissions for compliance, strategies and performance requirements.
- Reviews all correspondence concerning contactors and responds as necessary.
- Effectively interface regularly with internal and external customers. Effective communication and articulation are a significant aspects of this position.
- Assists with the training of junior level staff and other personnel in the organization, as assigned.
- Assists with corporate review and monitoring of company contract practices and procedures to ensure continuous improvement and compliance with government laws and regulations.

Do you have what it takes?
- Bachelor's degree in a business related field (Management, Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, etc.) and at least 5 years experience within industry (Commercial and Federal); or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Extensive knowledge with all contract types, including, but not limited to: CPFF, CPIF, CPAF, FPI, FFP, T&M, L-H, and ID/IQ in a single award and multiple award environment.
- Understanding of Personal and Organizational Conflicts of Interests and application.
- Contract certifications highly desirable (i.e. Certified Federal Contracts Manager, Certified Commercial Contracts Manager, Certified Professional Contracts Manager, etc.).
- This position requires a thorough understanding of the complexities within both the US Government and non-government (Industry) sectors, which includes the FAR, DFARs, U.C.C., U.S.C, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), and all applicable laws and regulations applicable to same (service Contract Act, Davis Bacon Act, etc.) are required.
- Ability to perform work that involves independent judgment and analysis of significant issue identification and resolution.
- Secret or ability to obtain Secret
