Summary:
The Manager, Trade Operations is responsible for trade relations including managing the day to day activities of the third party logistical provider, collecting data and performing analytics across all channel customers (wholesaler, distributor, retail/specialty pharmacy, HCOs, hospitals). This position will be responsible for reviewing sales and chargeback data to ensure alignment to contracts, eligibility and compliance with the company's chargeback policy.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by an individual assigned to this job. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Interface with wholesalers, specialty distributors, and 3PL partners to execute Pacira's Trade and distribution strategy
  • Timely and accurate submission of contracts to wholesalers and 3PL partners
  • Review sales and chargeback transactions to ensure alignment to contract requirements, eligibility, and compliance with the company's chargeback policy
  • Ensure customer sales occur within terms and conditions of negotiated agreements and provide timely solutions to resolve data or process discrepancies
  • Responsible for management, mapping, and analysis of EDI 867 sales & EDI 844 chargeback data to validate customer contract purchases
  • Resolve chargeback discrepancies with wholesalers and customers associated with pricing, membership, and eligibility
  • Approve and monitor product returns in compliance with existing returns policies while ensuring credits are issued accurately and match the price paid on the original sales transaction
  • Meet or exceed established KPIs to support the growth of the business and the evolving complexity of Pacira's distribution channels
  • Analyze volumes, trends, reoccurring issues, and potential challenges related to Trade for each of Pacira's branded products
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to provide timely and accurate reporting to support accruals at month end, quarter end, and year end
  • Prepare, analyze, and summarize operational results for use by various key stakeholders, creating reports, specifications, instructions, and flowcharts
  • Maximize process efficiencies, ensure processes have effective internal controls and meet business needs on a timely basis.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position will not have supervisory responsibility.
Interaction:
The incumbent will work closely with Commercial Operations & Analytics, Finance and National Accounts.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university
  • 5+ years relevant experience in channel management and/or trade distribution
  • Experience with chargeback processing and specialty pharmacy preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Demonstrated strong understanding of Trade and distribution processes with a focus on chargeback administration
  • Advanced MS Office including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills
  • Proven ability to analyze complex data sets with multiple inputs and provide high level summaries of detailed reporting
  • Effective presentation skills to audiences of diverse sizes and to all levels of the corporation
  • Ability to maintain a positive professional attitude and work well in team environment
  • Keen attention to detail and a conscientious and professional work approach. Must be willing to work in a fast paced, critical situation environment and solve problems with a sense of urgency
  • Ability to travel up to 5%
