Job Description:

The Training Specialist, Inspection & Packaginghas functional responsibility for designing, developing, and delivering training materials and documentation. Primary responsibilities of the Training Specialist will be to use the Instructional System Design (ISD) to achieve compliance with the cGMP needs of the facility. This will require understanding the operation of equipment and processes in the manufacturing area in order to meet business needs related to parenteral production. Essential responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  1. Understand manufacturing processes, including but not limited to: processing source materials, equipment and component preparation and sterilization, aseptic filling, lyophilization and packaging.
  2. Utilize current instructional design techniques to create and maintain On the Job Training(OJT), Instructor Led Training (ILT), and Computer Based Training (CBT) initiatives and programs.
  3. Monitor training effectiveness.
  4. Perform routine audits of training records to ensure compliance.
  5. Deliver training courses to all levels of manufacturing employees.
  6. Perform competency assessments.
  7. Collaborate with a variety of internal and external stakeholders for the purpose of serving as a liaison and resource in identifying employee training needs.
  8. Create and present solutions to resolve identified training productivity and performance issues.
  9. Stay abreast of new and current training methodologies, theories, and techniques through continued education.
  10. Cross train to support other training functions where assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Lead experience desired.
  • Pharmaceutical and FDA regulated industry experience desired.
  • 6 months of aseptic experience desired.
  • Completion of the Trainer Instructor course required.
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint experience required.
  • Mechanical aptitude required.
  • Ability to lift 30 lbs. unassisted, 20/30 corrected vision, exposure to allergens, and working in aseptic areas required.

Shift: Sun-Thurs 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Compensation:

  • This position pays $30.00to $40.60per hour, depending on experience, with opportunity for growth, promotion and annual raises.
  • This position is eligible for a shift premium of $2.00 per hour worked between 3pm and 11pm, and $2.50 per hour worked between 11pm and 7:30am.
