E&I Maintenance Technician

Shreveport, LA

Your tasks



  • Responsible for the installation, inspection, and calibration of industrial control systems and power distribution systems.
  • Responsible for performing preventive, emergency and routine maintenance of electrical systems, instrumentation, and industrial machinery.
  • Maintain equipment files including maintenance logs, manuals, and blueprints.
  • Direct efforts based on CMMS work order & preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Manage requests from department supervisors as needed to maintain facility efficiency.
  • Provide direction, oversight, and inspection of work provided by third party contractors.
  • Maintain equipment to OEM/Voith standards for performance, reliability, and safety.
  • Be familiar with and obey all OSHA and Voith safety regulations.
  • Participate in rotating on-call duty schedule.



Your profile



  • Proficiency in electrical circuits 600V and less for troubleshooting and repair.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and repair of electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to read and understand machine operation and technical manuals.
  • Clearly communicate information both verbally and in writing
  • Experience with electric motors, drives, & PLC systems.


  • Experience as E&I Technician or Industrial Electrician in a manufacturing environment.


OR



  • Associate degree or higher in Industrial Electronics, Instrumentation, Industrial Engineering, or related field. Relevant military training will also be considered.


OR



  • Candidates in training with demonstrated knowledge and experience capable of performing listed responsibilities will also be considered.
