This is a part-time faculty position with teaching responsibilities in a wide range of health services administration courses. The position is also expected to participate in the continued development of the health services administration program including recruitment, identifying internship opportunities, developing course syllabi, student handbook and other relevant documents. Additional responsibilities may include a) serving as an academic advisor, b) serving on academic or administrative committees, and c) keeping abreast of developments in the field by reading current literature, collaborating with colleagues, and participating in professional organizations and conferences. |
Primary Function of Organizational Unit |
The mission of the Health Care Administration program is to orient students to the various career opportunities that require application of healthcare, management, technology, and data analysis skills and knowledge. This will be accomplished through appropriate course work; clinical, management and technology applications; research and data analysis projects, and internship experiences. The program seeks to instill core values of excellence, integrity, discovery, and lifelong learning. The Health Care Administration Program is within the School of Nursing and Health Services. |
Minimum Requirements |
Master's degree in Health Care Management or related field. A minimum of two years full-time employment or equivalent in healthcare. |
Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education |
Masters or Doctorate in the field degree with 1-3 years teaching experience at the University or Community College level. |
