The Department of Psychiatry at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago are seeking a full-time non-tenure-eligible Clinician-Educator at the rank of Instructor or Assistant Professor. This position is intended for a pediatric neuropsychologist who will join a multidisciplinary child and adolescent psychiatry department in a nationally ranked, freestanding children's hospital located on the medical school campus.

Lurie Children's Hospital recognizes the impact of systemic, cultural, social, and economic factors on children and families, and values the diverse identities that build and enrich our hospital and the broader Chicago community. We are committed to welcoming staff and faculty from varied backgrounds because we believe that diversity strengthens the collective fabric of our medical center and fulfills our commitment to address the structural health disparities in the medical care of children. We seek employees who share this perspective, consider it important to their professional identity, and are representative of the families and children we serve.

The successful applicant will work primarily with children and adolescents followed in the Pediatric Neurosurgery subspecialty clinics for pediatric neurovascular disease, with potential opportunities to work with patients with epilepsy and brain tumors.

Duties include: 1) conducting screenings, consultations, and evidence-based neuropsychological evaluations of children and adolescents with medical, psychiatric, and neurodevelopmental disorders; 2) teaching in multidisciplinary child health and mental health training programs; and 3) engagement in research or other scholarly activities.

Qualified candidates will have obtained a PhD from a clinical psychology training program and completed an APA-approved internship specializing in clinical child or pediatric psychology. The individual will also have completed a fellowship in pediatric neuropsychology and be board certified or eligible for board certification in clinical neuropsychology. Experience with children/adolescents with endocrine and genetic disorders is preferred; experience with other medical populations is highly desirable. Spanish fluency is also highly desirable.

Rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications and experience. Full-time position. Start date immediate after licensure in Illinois. Applications will be evaluated as received. The start date is negotiable, and the position will remain open until filled.

This is a position at Lurie Children's Hospital, but the initial application is made online through Northwestern University. Please direct any questions to Stephanie Powell, PhD (skpowell@luriechildrens.org)
