In addition to serving as home base for our employees, the building also features: Outdoor dining facilities Large cafeteria with complimentary coffee and vending machines Handicap accessibility throughout Electric car chargers What we offer: Work/Life Balance: Paid Time Off, Paid Holidays, Charity Jean Thursdays, Jean Fridays, On-site Company Functions Financial Benefits: 401(k) Plan with Company Match, Employee Stock Purchase Program, Voluntary and Company Paid Group Life Insurance, Short- and Long-Term Disability Insurance, Medical FSA, Dependent Care, Competitive Salaries Health & Wellness: Health Insurance, Dental Insurance, Vision Insurance, Employee Assistance Program, Comprehensive and Interactive Wellness Program, On-Site Gym, Intramural Sports, On Demand Health Care Diagnostic Center Supervisory Responsibilities: None Duties/Responsibilities: Develop and maintain firmware and software for Globalstar satellite gateway applique Develop and maintain firmware and software for Globalstar satellite mobile terminal Write efficient and testable embedded C and JavaScript software Perform integration between gateway applique and the backend application server Setup and maintain laboratory equipment to support end-to-end system bench testing Design system performance models and stress tests Perform code impact analysis and understand changes at a system level Play an active role in designing reusable libraries applicable across the product roadmap Propose and implement Software unit test frameworks to improve code quality Triage and prioritize operational issues to ensure an incredible customer experience Take ownership of software/firmware component architecture and assist in robust requirements definition Assist in designing a seamless customer experience for integrating Globalstar products Required Skills/Abilities: Able to read and understand electrical schematic diagrams Able to quickly comprehend and debug existing code Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively Able to self-manage and prioritize multiple projects with aggressive due dates Strong analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks of yourself and others. Must maintain a high level of energy and positive attitude through challenging situations and project demands. Willingness and enthusiasm to work both independently and within a team environment. Education and Experience: BS or MS degree, preferably in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science Minimum of three (3) plus years of post-college experience in a software engineering position, preferably in a wireless related role Hands on expertise with Embedded C for Free RTOS, ARM processor, and Linux OS Hands on expertise with JavaScript programing language Experience writing or modifying peripheral drivers for SPI, I2C UART, USB Experience with signal processing theory, algorithm, and implementation techniques Experience writing requirements or technical specifications driven from high level user stories Familiarity with Matlab/Octave programing language.
