Job Description:
CTI has an opportunity for an experienced and detailed oriented Construction Estimator with a background in Heavy Civil Construction and Environmental Remediation Construction. This position will have responsibility for preparing and/or coordinating the preparation of multiple full estimates on large and complex civil and remedial construction projects located across the country.

Other key responsibilities may include:
1. Reviews and evaluates requests for proposals (RFPs).
2. Reviews RFP documents, including plans and specifications, and develops a clear understanding of scope of work to bid and the requirements.
3. Travels to project sites for formal site walks, evaluation and information gathering
4. Executes take-offs of construction documents.
5. Inputs take-offs into computer spreadsheet.
6. Develop project work plans and construction schedules
7. Obtain and review offers and quotes by subcontractors and/or vendors & performs risk analysis.
8. Obtains pricing for materials.
9. Makes an estimate where predetermined standard(s) are not available.
10. Organize and produce accurate and detailed estimates for multiple projects bidding concurrently.
11. Communicates any observed inaccuracies or omissions in quoted items or computer database.
12. Develops and maintains database on products, vendors, subcontractors, etc.
13. Prepares cost analysis in computer by recapitulating material, labor, equipment, subcontractor and overhead costs incurred in the installation of items.
14. Presents prepared estimate by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information.
15. Creates and submits estimate reports/ bids to appropriate persons (project managers, clients, etc.)
16. Maintains cost data base by entering and backing up data.
17. Build relationships with key vendors (subcontractors, suppliers, engineers etc.)
18. Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications; maintains any professional memberships.
19. Attends departmental meetings as required.

Qualifications include:
* Associates or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
* Must be able to work constructively in diverse teams including project managers, engineers, scientists, technicians, and non-technical personnel.
* 3-5 years of experience in civil construction and environmental remediation estimating.
* Proficient in relevant software (Timberline, HCSS HeavyBid, Bluebeam Revu, Microsoft Project, and/or Primavera)
* Excellent organization, time management, written communication, oral communication and presentation skills.

Additional Requirements:
* Must be eligible to work in the United States of America.
* CTI is a Drug-Free Workplace - Must pass pre-hire drug screen.
* Must possess valid driver's license.
* Must be able to physically navigate construction sites.
