This position reports to
Engineering Solution Director
Your role and responsibilities
*Provide quotes based on the project one-lines and specifications for the following: data collection, short circuit, equipment evaluation, coordination, arc flash, load flow, harmonic, and power quality analysis. *Write and present engineering recommendations to improve power system reliability, safety, and preventative maintenance measures. *Complete tasks within the project timeline and budget. *Domestic travel up to 25%.
Qualifications for the role
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical or Computer Engineering preferred) from an accredited institution and 5 plus years of experience.
- Ability to read, correctly interpret, and apply electrical one-lines, schematics, and instruction manuals.
- Proficient software experience should include Easy Power, SKM Powertools, ETAP, Aspen, and EMTP.
- Willingness to work in a multi-task environment and work with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to perform field duties as required.
- Provide engineering assistance and recommendations to the field offices on system protection and power system related issues to ensure proper system operation.
- PE or FE/EIT certification.
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.

While base salary is determined by things such as the successful applicant's qualifications and experience, this position is expected to pay between $74,910 and $139,150 annually.
