Starkey Hearing is hiring for a hearing aid repair technician at it's global headquarters in Eden Prairie, MN on 1st shift. If you have hearing aid repair experience in the hearing aid industry or a microelectronics background of troubleshooting, reassembling, soldering, and testing this could be the career move for you. Starkey is adding a AMR (All Make Repair) Technician to our 1st shift team in Eden Prairie, MN. The AMR Tech team has very low turnover and is a vital part of our customers satisfaction. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/RESULTS



  • Troubleshoot problems in hearing aids in need of repair.
  • Replace components that are not working.
  • Clean the hearing aid.
  • Re-assemble the hearing aid.
  • Maintain salvage parts and inventory.
  • Ensure hearing aid is repaired according to specifications.
  • Test the hearing aid to ensure it works.
  • Read and/or program hearing aid
  • Restore previous program settings.


JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education



  • 2-year electronics degree preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent required


Experience



  • 2 years hearing aid experience preferred, but not a must
  • Microelectronics a plus


Competencies, Skills & Abilities



  • Good manual dexterity required.
  • Good hand-eye coordination required.
  • Ability to sit 95% of the day.
