As a Demand Fulfillment Specialist supporting the Demand Analysis/Planning Team you will be trusted to analyze, plan and issue production demands to ensure accurate and timely build cycles are met so that high customer service levels for product lines are achieved and backorders are kept at a minimum at Fort Worth, Texas in US.

In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Process orders, managing customer requirements versus inventory levels/costs.
  • Process make to order PULL orders and PUSH forecasts, and submit to the Planning Department and 3rd party suppliers.
  • Manage deployment of international products according to established inventory goals/agreements through either direct ship program or shipments from Alcon warehouse.
  • Coordinate and monitor special online productions for International specific products, and ensure products are promptly released and shipped to the appropriate country.
  • Request and provide necessary forms/documents to QA to ship products under Quarantine status where appropriate or necessary.
  • Create and manage PLRs (Product Launch Requests) for products throughout the total development and production process.
  • Communicate to affected parties regarding new products, significant product changes, and obsolete or discontinued items.
  • Review and modify (annually or as needed), the PUSH parameter data for countries that are on the PUSH GPR system.
  • Translate customer requirements into product orders.
  • Analyze and perform product deployment activities per customer requirements and inventory goals/agreements.
  • Work/coordinate with APL Switzerland to ensure that customer orders are handled in a timely manner.
  • Manage the PLR (Product Launch Request) process for all items to ensure labeling/specs/BOMs, etc. are created to ensure timely production for new items in country specific versions.
  • Respond promptly to commercial/customer inquiries regarding product availability.
  • Manage and coordinate materials relating to new product introductions.
  • Keep work areas clean and free of hazards or dangerous conditions, and work safely.
  • Follow company and department safety standards, identify and report safety hazards.


WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +10 yrs; Assoc.+6 yrs; M.S.+0 yrs)
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
  • 2 Years of Relevant Experience
  • Work hours: Monday - Friday / 8:00am - 5:00pm
  • Travel Requirements: 0 to 10%
