WHAT YOU WILL DO Follow the established procedures to ensure knowledgeable, correct and efficient order taking Set up orders on trays and tables and transport them to guest floors and rooms Serve any dishes to guests while explaining the contents and preparation Ascertain a guest's satisfaction and handle any problem which may arise by informing a manager of the problem and how it was resolved Serve and clear food and beverage items in an unobtrusive and professional manner Remove trays and tables from guest rooms Maintain a Room Service control sheet Set up the lobby coffee service Anticipate and service guests' needs Greet each guest promptly, courteously, graciously with eye contact, a smile and good posture Be familiar with the menus, including preparation, ingredients and description Be familiar with the wine list and wine and beverage service including stemware used Complete opening and closing side work as assigned Provide confident and educated advice on menu options as well as food and beverage pairings Recognize and address potential intoxicated, disruptive or undesirable guests Conduct oneself in a professional manner at all times to reflect the hotel standards Demonstrate a high degree of drive and determination Keep the work area clean and tidy at all times
