REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
* Minimum of four (4) years' experience as an aviation paint technician working on commercial or corporate aircraft.
* Able to use tools and equipment associated with the aircraft painting process.
* Hands-on experience working with standard spray paint equipment such as electrostatic paint guns, cup guns, HVLP guns, etc.
* Strong buffing and polishing skills of urethanes and acrylic clear coats.
* Eye for precision and attention to details.
DESIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
* High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
* Six 6 years' experience in painting corporate aircraft or VIP jet aircraft.
* Design, layout and graphic experience.
LANGUAGE ABILITY:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation.
MATH ABILITY:
Ability to apply concepts of basic math and algebra, fractions, percentages, rations, and proportions to practical situations. Able to calculates mix ratios in order to mix sealant, filler materials, and paint.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
Able to become efficient in company technology and software programs.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions. Regular exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and outside weather conditions. Occasional exposure to explosives and vibration. The noise level is usually loud.
