GENERAL SUMMARY: Provides outpatient medical care with the supervision but not necessarily the presence of a qualified physician member of the medical staff. Takes patient history, performs physical examination, orders and interprets tests, makes diagnoses and institutes appropriate treatment programs. Works in collaboration with staff physicians, house officers, nurses and other members of the medical care team to ensure that patient outcomes are achieved in a safe and efficient manner. Specific procedures are individually credentialed as indicated by training and experience. Master's degree in nursing. CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED: Current certification as a Certified Nurse Practitioner -OR- Must be a Masters prepared Physician Assistant who has graduated from an AMA approved Physician Assistant program. Current state license as a Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant . Current ACLS/BLS as required. Current ATLS/PALS provider status as required.
