Job Description and Duties
Applicants seeking to gain eligibility for Staff Services Manager I may view and take the required exam by clicking: 2PBCY.PDF (ca.gov) Job Description: Under the direction of the Executive Vice Chancellor of the Information, Data, Evidence and Analytics (IDEAs) Office, the Staff Services Manager 1 (SSM1) manages and coordinates the integrated operational infrastructure, which is a large, multifaceted unit of the California Community College Chancellor's Office (CCCCO). The SSMI participates in the development of, and coordinates the implementation of, office policies, systems, and procedures. The SSMI formulates evidence-based strategies to improve office performance and to expand effective and efficient practices toward achieving office goals. Assists the IDEAs executive team in a variety of tasks including advanced, diversified administrative support of a substantial and confidential nature. The SSMI trains staff in division functions and processes, and coordinates office-wide professional development. The SSMI is expected to think strategically while managing a disciplined operation, lead by example and with initiative, act with unquestionable integrity and work ethic, and work collaboratively to advance the goals of the Office, agency and Board of Governors.
