Dental Faculty Practice/Advanced Education in General Dentistry

Our program is the only public dental school in Missouri. Our alumni account for roughly half of all practicing dentists in Missouri. Yet our reach goes further, we also provide a critical education outlet for Kansas and several other states without a dental school. The School of Dentistry operates a public student dental clinic and a faculty practice which serve patients throughout the KC metropolitan area.

Job Description

The University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry seeks a general dentist faculty member to fill a position in the Advanced Education in General Dentistry Department and serve as the Faculty Director of the Faculty Practice. As a faculty member in the Advanced Education in General Dentistry department this position will instruct and evaluate students in diagnosis, treatment planning, restorative dentistry, removable, fixed, and implant prosthodontics, endodontics, and non-surgical periodontics.

As Director of the Faculty Practice the faculty member will treat patients in the faculty practice up to 3 days per week and be responsible for assuring the overall success of the Dental Faculty Practice and compliance with the UM Collected Rules and Regulations , the Dental Faculty Practice Plan; and all applicable laws, rules and regulations.

* This is a ranked 12-month, benefit-eligible non-tenure track faculty position.

Qualifications

A DDS/DMD or equivalent is required.

Eligibility for Missouri licensure and certificate in Advanced Education in General Dentistry/General Practice Residency is an attribute.

Anticipated Hiring Range

The Faculty Member will receive a percentage of collections according the Dental Faculty Practice Plan and a base salary, negotiable and commensurate with rank, experience, credentials, and workload.
