20 Beds- 12 closed door rooms and 8 open bay rooms

Qualifications Education: Candidates must meet at least one of the followig requirements: - Active, State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) license - Nursing student who has successfully completed Fundamentals of Nursing (or equivalent) from an approved program - At least one year of patient care experience in a hospital within the last three years Certifications: Skills: 1. Sound written and verbal communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills. 2. Demonstrated basic computer skills. 3. Must demonstrate competence as defined in the Patient Care Assistant responsibilities/skills checklist in providing age appropriate care and services to pediatric patients of all ages and selected adult patients. 4. Displays a positive presence and interacts with all levels of staff, outside vendors, consultants, and physicians. MINIMUM PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: - Occasionally, 1-33% of the time: Climb stairs/ladder; sitting; lifting/carrying 41-60lbs, 61-100lbs, +100lbs with assistance. May come into contact with fumes, gases, vapors, biohazard waste, machinery, and power tools. - Frequently, 34-66% of the time: Squat/kneel; reaching above shoulder; repetitive arm and hand use. Lifting/carrying 040lbs; pushing/pulling 0-61lbs; depth perception-vision. May come into contact with blood, bodily fluids, communicable diseases or pathogens, chemicals, and electricity. - Continuously, 67-100% of the time: Standing, walking, audible speech, speech clarity and hearing acuity.
