Job Summary

Responsible for overall leadership and management of Base Operations Support (BOS) contracts overarching guidance as it relates to Operating, Maintaining and Repairing facilities and equipment. To ensure the effectiveness of the NGA-W contract in the areas of performance, productivity, safety and efficiency to the standards of the contract and to the satisfaction of the customer.by delivering services in a professional, courteous, and timely manner for our National Geospatial- Intelligence Agency (NGA) West Base Operations Support Contract.

Primary Duties

  • Responsible for ensuring programs for the operations and maintenance of all equipment and physical structures follow corporate/ownership standards, local, state, and national codes, and regulations to protect the assets, customer, and employees, and to ensure optimum operations.

  • Primary point of contact and on-site representative for coordinating large equipment maintenance activities at two St. Louis Region sites. Coordinates repairs by others of essential MEP systems, directs response.

  • Provides contract direction to in-house supervisors and Subcontractors to include but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), custodial, mail, recycling, destruction, grounds, and snow removal.

  • Perform critical decision making in response to facility related occurrences to keep data center operations running 24/7. Provides effective and responsive communications with customers and subcontractors.

  • Monitor relationships with customers to identify and proactively resolve problems and/or conflicts while maintaining open communications regarding expectations versus performance.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Responsible for supporting a project-wide atmosphere of openness, credibility, trust, collaboration, and proactive concern for the customer and ServiceSource's mission.

  • Provide prompt response for data center and technical facility infrastructure related questions pertaining to operations, planning, facility functions, capacities, and operational capabilities.

  • Directly or indirectly supervise, provide contract performance oversight, and quality assurance of all PWS requirements to include, but not limited to, the following functions:

    • Mail operations

    • Security

    • Warehouse

    • Laborer/Recycling

    • Grounds Maintenance, snow, and ice control

    • Additional Departments as assigned

  • Perform technical writing and special projects as required. Further develop and organize the document management system and technical library.

  • Ensure appropriate records/documentation is acquired and kept current over time (Systems Operations & Maintenance Manuals, Commissioning Records, Drawings & Specifications, Warranties, Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Literature, Resolution Log for Punch List Items, etc. Additionally, ensure SSI-Government interface roles & responsibilities are clearly defined.

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and that employees abide by all safety and security requirements.

  • Fill in as Project Manager when needed, corporate activities, vacations, or as requested.

  • Assess contract performance, manage facility maintenance trends, support development of capital improvements, and ensure 100% readiness of all contracted facility equipment systems.

  • Perform other related responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications: Education, Experience, and Certification(s)

  • Bachelor's degree in related field of study preferred.

  • Five years of experience in the following areas: facilities equipment operation and maintenance services, HVAC systems, 300-600-ton chillers or larger, chilled water systems, UPS systems, data center cooling and operations, and electrical distribution systems required.

  • Two years of experience supervising staff associated with facility operations and maintenance functions in a data center environment required.

  • Possess full knowledge and understanding of data center facility functions and systems operability to perform job duties effectively.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI government security clearance with polygraph is required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Effective oral and written communication skills; supervision/management experience.

  • Able to work without direct supervision, converse with Government contract representatives and make recommendations towards the operations of NGA-W.

  • Review projects, work requests and determine best way forward while supporting the PWS.

  • Be an organized and self-directed individual who is a team player.

  • An intelligent and articulate individual who can relate to people at all level of an organization
