Overview
Advanced Technology seeks a Project Manager to support our Airport Security projects. The PM leads a dynamic and multidiscipline team. In this role, the individual will lead program execution through focused messaging, leadership visibility, clear role definition, developing customer intimacy, making critical decisions, and clear communications.

The Project Manager directs all program phases from inception through completion. Interfaces with customers for project specifications to ensure successful completion. Manages the contract lifecycle, cost, schedule and performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs. Coordinates the negotiation, proposals, business plans, budgets, and contracts for programs. Establishes cost focused performance targets and directs work to achieve these targets. Serves as the primary point of contact for our customers.

In this role the Project Manager will lead passenger security checkpoint and/or checked baggage projects with either the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) or with individual airports, possibly through their General Contractors. The PM will also be responsible for participating in the business development process, including helping organize and write proposals.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for projects in their entirety, including cost, schedule, and technical performance.
• Maintain relationship of trust and respect with customers, subcontractors, and internal team members.
• Integrate and coordinate projects with field personnel and subcontractors.
• Prepare and distribute project communication with customers, management, integrated project teams, and stakeholders.
• Prepare and monitor project schedules and budgets; provide technical guidance and assistance on contracting and deployment-related issues; direct design efforts; review deliverable documents; and provide field oversight.
• Infrequent travel may be required to fulfil project requirements or shape team/customer relationships and business needs.

Required Qualifications/Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from an accredited University.
• Minimum ten (10) years' work experience in deploying and maintaining airport security screening equipment.
• Minimum four (4) years' work experience in project management of deployment and/or maintenance of airport security screening equipment.
• Experience Microsoft Windows and Office Suite encompassing Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to analyze, prioritize, and problem solve effectively.
• Written and oral communication skills, especially ability to brief customers.
• Strong multi-tasker with the ability to manage time and priorities.
• Strong leadership, project management, team building and presentation skills.
• Experience leading a multifunctional, geographically spread-out team.
• Active TSA suitability clearance or ability to obtain TSA suitability clearance.

Desired Qualifications/Skills

• Project Management Professional (PMP) desired.
• Experience with Microsoft Project.
• Proposal development experience to include writing of detailed Basis of Estimates.
• Previous TSA related project/program management experience.
