Schedule: 7 Days On / 7 Days Off Hours: 4:30pm-3:00am Location: Rock Island, IL As a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in Emergency Medicine, you'll be the vital link in our Emergency Department team! You'll provide top-notch pharmaceutical care, collaborating closely with healthcare professionals to ensure our patients receive the best possible treatment. Responsibilities Participate in daily patient care activities. Discuss medication order clarifications with the prescriber. Document any changes in patient records and inform others of medication order changes. Provide in-services for emergency department nursing and medical staff. Initiate research investigations aimed at defining the role of emergency medicine pharmacists or optimizing the care of patients in the emergency department. Qualifications Education: Graduate of an approved College of Pharmacy and possesses a Doctor of Pharmacy or BS in Pharmacy is required Experience: ASHP-accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Residency in Acute Care Pharmacy Practice or two years of experience in a complex health-system pharmacy environment is required. Experience in emergency medicine or critical care is required. License(s)/Certification(s): Registered Pharmacist in the state of IA and IL is required within 180 days of hire. Valid driver's license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons. *Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, skills, internal equity, and other business needs.
