Position Summary

The Health Sciences Financial
Services Offices provides fiscal services to the entire Health Science Campus,
including off-site departments.

Our mission is to provide
prompt, accurate, courteous and professional services to meet all of our
customer's needs. Our customers range from students, staff, faculty, and
outside vendors and agencies.

Health Sciences Financial
Services is looking for a dynamic, self-directed professional for the position
of Associate Controller in its Unrestricted Accounting Department. The ideal
candidate is a motivated self-starter who possesses a strong accounting
background and experience with University Compliance and Related Party
Consolidations. The successful candidate must be knowledgeable in financial
reporting and systems, and possess strong communication and problem-solving
skills.

Conditions of Employment

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.



Preferred Qualifications
* Proficiency/Expertise:
Using databases for analysis
With GASB regulations and inter-company and state governmental regulations
* Experience with/in:
Higher education accounting
systems Training in, or experience with Banner Finance or a similar integrated
system Collection of accounts receivable
Basic Knowledge of Clinical
Operations Professional accounting in large, private or public-sector environment
