Description

Salary Range: $110,000-$130,000

The Corporate Senior Accountant is a member of the Accounting team, responsible for executing day-to-day accounting functions that support the company's financial reporting and operational objectives. Experience in real estate/hospitality accounting is a plus. This position reports to VP Corporate Accounting. This is a fulltime in-person position and located in San Francisco, CA.

Job Duties:



  • Prepare monthly consolidation of financial statements under the direction of the Corporate Accounting Manager or VP Corporate Accounting.
  • Execute monthly closing activities, including preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
  • Maintain and update the Fixed Asset module, including recording depreciation and managing asset additions/disposals.
  • Prepare and maintain schedules such as the Schedule of Real Estate and Debt Schedule.
  • Analyze and review general ledger accounts, preparing adjusting journal entries for approval by the Accounting Manager.
  • Support the preparation of balance sheet reconciliations and ensure all accounts are accurately reported.
  • Collaborate with external auditors during annual reviews and audits by providing requested documentation and supporting schedules.
  • Assist in preparing tax schedules and supporting data for tax filings.
  • Support systems implementation and optimization
  • Provide support for ad-hoc projects


Job Requirements:



  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
  • Minimum 4 years accounting experience
  • Solid knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions
  • Strong organizational skill and attention to detail in preparing schedules including reconciliations
  • Proactive learner who enjoys solving problems and tackling challenges
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines and take ownership of work product
  • Familiarity with D365, Great Plains, Management Reporter, UKG and ProfitSword is a plus
  • Strong technical accounting expertise
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
