Group/Division

With over 40 years of semiconductor process control experience, chipmakers around the globe rely on KLA to ensure that their fabs ramp next-generation devices to volume production quickly and cost-effectively. Enabling the movement towards advanced chip design, KLA's Global Products Group (GPG), which is responsible for creating all of KLA's metrology and inspection products, is looking for the best and the brightest research scientist, software engineers, application development engineers, and senior product technology process engineers. The Broadband Plasma Division (BBP) provides market-leading patterned wafer optical inspection systems for leading-edge IC manufacturing. Logic, foundry, and memory customers depend on BBP products to detect yield-critical defects for process debug and excursion monitoring at advanced process nodes. BBP flagship products include the 29xx and 39xx series which leverage Broadband Plasma technology to capture a wide range of defects with ultimate sensitivity at the optical inspection speeds needed for inline defect monitoring.

Job Description/Preferred Qualifications

You will be a key member of our highly coordinated multi-disciplinary team of software, systems, applications, and algorithm engineers!

  • Develop software prototype solutions to explore product and technology roadmap.
  • Demonstrate detailed problem-solving to resolve problems and standardize solutions.
  • Have a good relationship with multi-functional teams to supply to system design changes for manufacturability, serviceability, and testability.
  • Enable successful technical integration of hardware and software system solutions.
  • Drive adoption of the best industry practices in code health, testing, and maintainability.
  • Chip in to automated continuous integration pipeline to build, test, and release.
Qualifications:
  • Ability to decompose sophisticated interrelated software systems to develop solutions that are easier to conceive, understand, program, and maintain in the long run.
  • Ability to analyze, experiment, observe, and refine solutions for multifaceted technical problems.
  • Strong communication and sense of ownership to inspire change.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple conflicting assignments while driving pragmatic decisions.
  • Exposure to test driven development and continuous integration.
  • Hands-on experience in scripting, data analysis, and data visualization.
  • Real world application of Object-oriented methodologies and principles.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's Level Degree or work experience of 3 years, Bachelor's Level Degree or work experience of 5 years
  • 5+ years of software development using high-level programming languages such as Java, C++, C# and .Net Framework.
