OD - Nurse Practitioner - Central State Hospital

Job Description:

Provides on-call comprehensive Psychiatric and Medical care to the patients of CSH; including taking referrals from outside hospitals, admission of patients, physical examinations, diagnosis, treatment, follow-up care for medical conditions of patients, as well as attending to any emergency need throughout the entire hospital while on-call. Performs all tasks and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner; other related duties as assigned.

• Must have completed Registered Nursing degree, Nurse Practitioner certification and have an active Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) license
• Must be able to work 12 hour shifts, including weekends, days or nights. (Days and number of shifts are flexible)
• Must have experience in adult psychiatry. (Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing experience will be considered in addition to education)
• Level of Education: Nurse Practitioner
