Summary:

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis, as well as strong skills in coordinating and overseeing project teams. The Project Controller will be responsible for producing monthly financials, overseeing financial operations, and ensuring compliance with company processes and controls.

Please note: This is a temporary assignment of at least two years.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce Monthly Financials: Prepare and review monthly financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.

  • Budgeting, Forecasting, and Analysis: Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, and perform detailed financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.

  • Coordination and Financial Oversight of Project Teams: Provide financial oversight and coordination for project teams to ensure financial objectives are met.

  • Interpretation of Budgets and Controls: Conduct monthly job audit meetings to review and interpret budgets and controls.

  • Financial Operations Management: Oversee financial operations including accounts payable/receivable (AP/AR), job cost accounting, and cash flow management.

  • Compliance and Controls: Ensure financial operations comply with company expectations, processes, and controls. Manage job costing, purchase orders, change orders, and subcontracts.

  • Subcontractor and Vendor Documentation: Process subcontractor and vendor documents, pay applications, and special use tax requirements per job.

  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers, including vendors, subcontractors, and project manager

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management, preferably in a construction or project-based environment.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
