Description

This is a full time, 4 days- 10 hour shift with a start time of 06:30am, with flexibility to cover leadership and a rotating administrative call responsibilities on the weekend.

This position is eligible for a New Hire Bonus up to $8.5K, and the Supervisor incentive compensation plan.

Join our Scripps Green Hospital Operating Room team where you will be amongst a team dedicated to creating an environment that is focused on restoring function and optimizing care, while maintaining the respect, autonomy and individuality of every patient.

As a Supervisor of the 12 suite Operating Room you will work with the OR team to ensure the nursing practice reflects established standards of care and practice and a culture that promotes patient safety. Under the general direction of the Patient Care Manager, shares leadership responsibilities for the nursing unit, including managing daily staffing plans. Ensures the safe transition of patients thru the continuum of care to include active participation of nursing staff in planning and coordinating patient care, and direct hand-off to next appropriate level of care. Scripps Green manages 12 surgical specialties therefore it is important that you will have a knowledge of multiple service lines including ortho, neuro, robotics, vascular, plastics and urology.

In order to remain eligible for your retention incentive the following criteria must be met:



  • Must remain in original hired FTE Status and Shift (if specified in offer letter)
  • Must remain in original department/specialty
  • Must remain in original Job Title
  • Transfers to other locations will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may result in forfeiting remaining incentive bonus unless specifically noted in your offer letter.

Qualifications


  • Two years OR RN experience,



  • One year in a leadership role.



  • Excellent skills in communication, problem-solving, team development, planning and follow-through.



  • Ability to exercise the authority and responsibility for assigned services based on the scope of the organization and complexity of patient care. Graduate of an accredited program.



  • Current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider and all competencies/certifications required of the charge RN on the unit.




Preferred Qualifications:




  • 5 years OR experience



  • 2 years leadership experience



  • BSN and/or certification in area of specialty if applicable.



  • CNOR
