The GM of Service - Machine is responsible for quality execution of WCAT Machine Division products and services at the Business Unit level.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:



  • Communicate, comply with, and promote WCAT EHS policies.
  • Responsible for daily service operations of the Machine Service Division.
  • Accountable for field and shop operations in the areas of financial revenue performance, expense management, and customer satisfaction.
  • Responsible for the quality delivery of WCAT Machine Division products and services and continuous development of all employees within his/her area of responsibility to achieve the company's desire for operational excellence.
  • Recruit, hire, develop, evaluate, and terminate, WCAT Machine Service personnel.
  • Initiate and document disciplinary action.
  • Resolve employee conflicts.
  • Identify and develop potential successors for all service supervisory roles.
  • Develop WCAT Machine Service policies.
  • Lead and Train employees on new initiatives and processes.
  • Communicate with Account Managers regarding WCAT sales opportunities.
  • Determine the number of employees required for each area by carefully analyzing the need based on number of units, growth potential of the area, and unit profitability.
  • Responsible for development of the Machine Service Budget.
  • Responsible for appropriate overhead expenditures to manage areas (vehicles, communications, tooling, etc.).
  • Responsible for ensuring environmental compliance (emissions, housekeeping and spills).
  • Lead PBO meetings and utilize PBO communication techniques.
  • Manage multiple subordinate supervisors who supervise several employees, and be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units.
  • Maintains proactive relationships with customers through completion of annual PAR schedule.
  • Presents routine reports to Senior and Executive Management, both electronic and in person.



WHAT YOU'LL NEED:



  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; and/or five years of related experience and/or training.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office. Experience with Caterpillar DBS system a plus.
  • Valid Driver's License and Clean Driving Record.
