Visual Information Specialist

IntelliBridge is an award-winning national security company looking for a Visual Information Specialist (VIS) to support our contract with a federal agency focused on critical infrastructure protection and secure information sharing with the private sector. The VIS will independently produce a variety of communication products and graphic designs for an executive staff office. The position requires creative confidence, the ability to work collaboratively to understand customer requirements, and an eye for quality design.

Furthermore, the VIS will create and edit presentations, brochures, infographics, reports and intranet sites using Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft SharePoint. Audiences will include government officials at all levels and the general public. The VIS will serve as consultant and advisor in all areas of desktop publishing, graphic art production, and SharePoint design. A sample portfolio will be required. Experience supporting law enforcement, intelligence or defense customers is a strong plus.

Responsibilities/Duties:

• Independently create high-quality and innovative graphics to communicate the customer's services to a broad range of government customers.
• Assist in improving and maintaining websites, reports, presentations, and other materials.
• Produce physical and electronic promotional materials.
• Assist in improving and maintaining the visual brand on websites, reports, presentations and other materials.
• Create and maintain collaborative environments on available platforms.
• Assist in implementing the communications plan.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree
• Minimum five (5) years' experience producing communication products using graphic and media design, writing and editing, pre-press and other expert-level document production skills.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Creative design and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to design and administer SharePoint intranet sites.
• Demonstrated ability to self-start and take initiative with minimal support or guidance.
• Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational abilities.
• Graphic design and writing/editing samples required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with computer systems to produce publications and presentations. High level of expertise and proficiency in publishing, layout, scanning, photographic manipulation, word processing, typography, art and photo collections, illustration programs, and film production. Ability to use those applications in PC-based platforms to serve as technical authority, provide expert training, and maximize conversion of a variety of media.
• Experience using graphic design principles in order to create original, visually appealing artwork/graphics. Extensive knowledge of visual design and layout skills in order to visually interpret complex, controversial and/or multifaceted issues that impact significantly on employees and specialized audiences within the law enforcement community in a method which is clear, concise, tactful, and informative.
• Experience creating ways to resolve problems associated with PC- software (creative software to end user software).
• Experience gathering, analyzing, and conveying public information.
