Job Description

Job Summary

Work directly with Sales Development Executives to provide pre-sales expertise to the sales team and customers during the sales process, including input into bid proposals, projects, and technical documents within the sales process and identify additional sales opportunities with existing customers. Collaborate with sales teams to develop and recommend products and services to meet customers' requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Support Sales Reps by:
    • Facilitating internal and external communications relative to customer needs and job specifications
    • Supporting the initiatives to sell the organization's products and services within an assigned geographic area, product range, or list of new & existing customer accounts to meet sales targets.
    • Assist with revenue generation through ongoing rapport with existing and potential customers.
    • Create and submit Sales Orders on behalf of the sales team as requested.
    • Assist in researching potential prospects for the sales team as needed.
  • Manage in-house development of Request For Quote/Proposal/Information response; take direction from sales team, liaison with internal departments including legal and finance, and ensure a final response is prepared and delivered on time, and in compliance with customer or prospect requirements.
  • Manage timeline to ensure all deliverables to the client are met.
  • Prospect and create leads to identify appropriate clients within the target market
  • Assist with strategy, creation, and implementation of current/future marketing campaigns
  • Conduct market research and feasibility studies to analyze the viability of alternative business development opportunities.
  • Collect, compile, verify, and analyze financial, competitive, sales, marketing, and other information about potential business partners; new markets, products, and services; or other business opportunities so that sales has accurate and timely information for making strategic and operational decisions.
  • Maintains up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge of the organization's and competitors' products and/or services
  • Prepares final quotes, proposals, and contracts per schedule needs of the customer or prospect. Prepares pricing and updates as needed
  • Build constructive relationships with potential and current customer contacts and apply knowledge of the customer's business (organization structure, value chain, strategic plans, etc.) to partner with Sales to assess needs and develop solutions for the customer.
  • Upon successful sale, communicate the requirements to parties needed to ensure delivery of the product.
  • Partner with Sales to develop and execute strategic customer plans, build contract provisions, and develop sales forecasts.
  • Maintain active communication with, and provide job status updates to clients, customer service hubs, sales, and manufacturing as needed to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Assist with CRM database management (Salesforce.com)

  • Able to apply broad work experience and knowledge when analyzing complex problems.
  • Must be able to consistently identify critical elements, variables, and alternatives to develop solutions.
  • Able to apply excellent business acumen and collaborative skills when working with prospective clients and clients at all levels in the organization.
  • Excellent functional computer knowledge in utilizing Microsoft Windows, or other technical tools in completing assignments.
  • Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have strong and demonstrated customer relationship skills.
  • Must be able to work independently and lead resources from multiple organizations.
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce.com or similar CRM

High school diploma or equivalent required with at least 2 years of relevant work experience required


Additional Information

Thenational pay range for this role is $51,800.00 - $85,300.00 annually. The payrange may beslightly lower or higher based on the geographic location of the hired employee. The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program.
