Job Description

Position Summary

Leverage advanced data analysis, reporting tools (SAP IDE, SQL Server Management Studio, SAP HANA, Power BI, Tableau), and ETL processes to support the Customer Group functions at Washington Gas. Responsible for comprehensive data reporting, in-depth analysis, dynamic dashboard creation, and efficient data integration to provide actionable insights for Billing, Collections, Marketing, and Customer Service Operations. Collaborate closely with corporate IT and other BI teams to ensure seamless data extraction, transformation, and loading, driving informed decision-making and operational efficiency under the guidance of senior leadership.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Develop complex queries, reports, and dashboards using SQL, Tableau, Power BI, and other available tools to support business needs.
  • Handle data requests from various business units for executive, operational, or regulatory needs, utilizing SAP and other systems.
  • Develop requirements for the customer group and information solutions to include functional enhancements for internal developers as needed by the business to support data extractions and reports for operational activities.
  • Support the Customer Group in the design, functionality, and data content of data models.
  • Assist programmers and users with data integrity investigations, data analysis, and data modifications as needed.
  • Understand various operational business processes and leverage this knowledge to support the development and delivery of improvements and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Consumer Services, Rates and Regulatory Affairs Departments, and the Office of the General Counsel to evaluate functionality and data to solve business problems.
  • Proactively analyzes customer information, billing, financial, and general ledger data to ensure data integrity using BPQA and other SAP transactions and tools.

Qualifications, Skills and Abilities

  • Bachelor's Degree in business, engineering, statistics, or a related data analysis discipline required
  • 5+ years of related experience in statistical analysis or data analysis required
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Excel, Tableau, Power BI, SAP HANA, Business Objects, and SQL required
  • Strong working knowledge of statistical and optimization tools, including measurement systems analysis, capability analysis, hypothesis testing, analysis of variance, correlation, and regression analysis
  • Proven ability to complete analytical, data-intensive projects and clearly communicate results to a broad audience
  • Proven ability to achieve process efficiency improvements through data analysis

We offer a competitive salary range of $91,500 to $125,625 per year, commensurate with experience, education, and skills. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
