JOB SUMMARY The Senior Training & Development Specialist will have deep experience in instructional design, training delivery, and project/program management. This role is vital in designing, developing, and delivering high-quality learning experiences to enhance the knowledge and skills of employees. As part of the Human Resources team, the Senior Training and Development Specialist will report to the Manager of Organizational Development and work closely with a diverse range of teammates, business leaders, HR managers, and SMEs, both in the office and the field. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES *In collaboration with the OD Manager, develop, evaluate, pilot and deliver new learning programs and experiences. SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE *Strong understanding of adult learning principles with previous instructional design experience. * Ability to simplify the complex, present a compelling story, and deliver on programs with consistent execution. *Open to new ideas and willing to experiment; adjusts appropriately as needed. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS Bachelors' degree required, preferably in human resources, business, or related area. YEARS OF EXPERIENCE Minimum of 5 years of experience in training and development, 7 years of experience preferred WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS Work is typically performed indoors in an office environment. Incumbents must be able to perform work which includes typing, sitting, and standing. In the event that incumbent visits operations worksite, personal protection equipment, including head protection, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety shoes, and flame-resistant clothing is required. Safety rules including OSHA and DOT requirements are strictly enforced. Employees must be willing to travel and work extended hours on short notice.
