Description Acara Solutions has been providing aerospace firms nationally with our staffing services for over 65 years. Our national/international aerospace client, that has been around for many decades, has a plant in Fort Walton, FL. They are looking for a Sr. Quality Manager to join their organization. This is a direct salaried employee position.
This is an onsite position in Fort Walton, FL.
Come work/live just minutes from pristine white sandy beaches at the resort town of Ft. Walton Beach.
The Quality Manager will have 8 direct reports (4 QE's, 3 quality techs, and 1 quality supervisor with 8 inspectors on that team).
This is an aerospace electronics facility.
This position provides quality leadership and has full responsibility for Site Quality regarding the Quality Management System (QMS), customer satisfaction, regulatory compliance, for product life cycle from Product development,New product Introduction, Production, Supply Chain to Product Support.
The incumbent must be a proven effective quality leader with exceptional interpersonal skills, sense of urgency, demonstrated performance results and a continual improvement mindset.
Job Requirements Required Skills / Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (ideally Electrical, but Mechanical, Chemical and similar acceptable)
Min 5 years of supervisory or management experience in manufacturing Quality Assurance in the defense, space electronics, or high-end aerospace industry, including
exposure to product development design quality.
Min 3 years of experience with advanced product quality planning in high reliability product development/ new product introduction
Min 1 year of experience with DCMA, DLA
This is a U.S. military defense supplier, the individual must be able to obtain a U.S. Secret clearance if needed in future.

Electronics manufacturing
Automotive experience
IPC 610, JSTD 001
AS9100 auditor experience
APCP PPAP
Strongly preferred experience with APQP tools - Process flow Diagram, FMEA, Control Plan, MSA, Process Capability, SPC
Six Sigma Belt
