Job Summary/Overview

The Process Engineering Intern will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing a comprehensive tracking system for Sales Orders (SO) in production. This system will include real-time milestone tracking with date/time stamps, views representing all Work in Process (WIP) and its current position on the factory floor, and detailed progression of individual SOs. The role also involves creating exception reports to highlight units not progressing as expected.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • System Development: Design and develop a real-time milestone tracking program for Sales Orders in production.
  • Integration: Integrate the tracking system with existing manufacturing processes and systems.
  • Data Management: Ensure accurate and timely data collection, storage, and retrieval.
  • Visualization: Create views representing all WIP and its current position on the factory floor.
  • Reporting: Develop exception reports to provide visibility into units not progressing as expected.
  • Testing and Validation: Conduct thorough testing and validation of the system to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • User Training: Provide training and support to end-users to ensure effective use of the system.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for system enhancements and process improvements and basic knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and practices.

Required Qualifications

  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C#), database management (e.g., SQL), and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with project management methodologies and tools.
  • Applicants must have authorization to work in the United States. Sponsorship is not available for this role.
  • Must be able to work full time from June 2, 2025 to August 8, 2025.
  • Ability to travel at the start and end of internship.
