GMP- Junior Specialist

Position description

Junior Specialist for Research in the UCI GMP Facility.

The GMP Facility at the University of California-Irvine seeks for two Junior Specialists to work closely with the quality control team and manufacturing team.

We are seeking to hire two highly motivated, dedicated individuals who have excellent organization, time management and communication skills, and understand the basic concept of GMP environment. These persons will: 1) assist in the facility daily operation; 2) work closely with the QC team and Manufacturing team; and 3) maintain project documentation and schedule.

Requirements: 1) Bachelor degree in biological science, or other related field. (graduate degree preferred), 2) Excellent communication (oral and written) and presentation skills; 3) Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management; 4) Strong teamwork skills. Prior experience in basic research or translational research is a plus.

This position is grant funded. Position is renewable, contingent on satisfactory performance and funding availability.

Salary range: The salary range for this position starts at $53,100 and up $56,600, for Junior Specialist. The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and/or step at appointment.
